Infopavillon Kerenzerbergtunnel

Get an insight into the complex construction site around the Kerenzerberg Tunnel.

The Kerenzerberg Tunnel is part of the A3 national road and is located in the canton of Glarus between the Weesen and Murg junctions. Between 2020 and probably 2026, the comprehensive renovation of the tunnel system is planned. Insight into a complex construction site It is not possible to visit the construction sites of the complete renovation project for safety reasons. With the information pavilion, interested groups of people have a permanent, detailed exhibition at their disposal. Information for those interested in tunnelling The exhibition focuses on the technical and geological challenges of the two main measures, some of which were carried out in parallel – the construction of the new safety tunnel and the repair of the road tunnel – and gives an idea of the numerous steps and work that are necessary for the successful execution of a tunnel construction project of this magnitude. Guided exhibition The information pavilion can be visited free of charge. In principle, group visits are planned. There are also regular collection dates to choose from, which can be attended by individuals and small groups.
