Hut approach Kistenpasshütte
Unique view over the Limmernsee - the Kistenpasshütte is truly a unique experience.
The Kistenpasshütte, located at an altitude of 2,714 m, clings like an eagle's nest to the rock and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding Swiss mountain world. The hut is suitable as a day destination or as a good starting point for tours of all kinds. The approach from the mountain station "Kalktrittli" via the Mutterseehütte (new path) leads to the hut in four hours.
Attention: shortly before the Kistenpasshütte (approx. the last 600 steps) the path leads over a well-secured but steep and exposed section with chains - here the difficulty is comparable to T3.
