Gravel Gallop - Linthal Express
Varied and physically demanding circular route starting from Glarus via Brunnenberg, Braunwald, Klausenstrasse, and Linthal with an additional loop via Sool. Long climbs, scenic high trails, and a thrilling descent ensure genuine biking enjoyment.
This sporty round in the heart of the Glarus region demands endurance and rewards with magnificent landscapes and a diverse course character.
From Glarus, the route initially steadily ascends via Schwändi and Leuggelen to the top station of the Brunnenberg cable car. The climb is long but impressively scenic. It continues over the Alp Böisbächi to Braunwald, where beautiful views of the valley repeatedly open up.
From Braunwald, the trail leads via Nussbüehl further uphill to the Klausenstrasse. Here, the highest point of the tour is reached – time for the highlight: the long and fun descent to Linthal.
In the valley, one follows the Linth downstream towards Schwanden. But instead of rolling directly back to Glarus, a challenging additional loop via Sool awaits, which collects more altitude meters. Over Uschenriet, the circle closes back to the starting point in Glarus.
