Glacial moraines on the Gulderstock
The moraines on the Gulderstock hint at the former expanse of the glacier.
Below the Gulderstock, along the opposing mountain flank, there was a glacier during the last ice age! Staggered banks along the middle of the slope suggest this. These banks are the terminal and lateral moraines left behind after the former glacier melted. The stream in the middle has since cut through the moraines.
