Join us on a geological hike to the imposing Kärpfbrücke

You will learn exciting facts about the geology and the stones in Switzerland's only "volcano park" in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. Nowhere in the world are the phenomena of mountain formation as clearly visible as in the border area of the cantons of Glarus, St. Gallen and Graubünden. Want to know more? MEETING POINT 10:23 a.m. Valley station of the Kies-Mettmen cable car (10:03 a.m., bus from Schwanden to Kies Niederental).

INFORMATION ABOUT THE HIKE Pure hiking time 2.5 hours, fitness for 300m ascent and descent On well-developed hiking trails, SAC difficulty scale T2 Return approx. at 5:00 p.m.

EQUIPMENT Hiking boots, sun and rain protection, food and drinks for the way, possibly trekking poles, possibly binoculars Good shoes (reaching above the ankle with treaded soles), snacks, drink

COSTS CHF 80.00 per person excl. train ride / CHF 60.00 for members of the Friends of Geopark Sardona (excl. train ride). The amount is to be paid in cash directly to the respective GeoGuide on the day of the hike.
