Zahia and Fettouma grow up as musically gifted daughters of an Algerian immigrant family in a suburb of Paris. 17-year-old Zahia wants to become a conductor, her twin sister plays the cello with virtuosity. With determination, courage and perseverance, the two live their dream and assert themselves at an elite Parisian conservatory... The film is based on the true story of the orchestra's founder and conductor Zahia Ziouani, who is well-known in France, and her sister Fettouma.
