Expedition Tschinglen

The eventful hiking offer starts at the valley station and begins with an impressive train ride over the spectacular gorge to the Tschinglen-Alp

A radio play provides a short while, which draws attention not least to the direct entrance to the World Heritage perimeter. Once at the top, the journey of discovery continues on the circular trail over the Firstboden. During a hike of 1.5 hours, you will learn interesting facts about the geology, the Sardona World Heritage Site and the Tschinglen-Alp. The crowning glory of the hike is the Firstboden at 1,750 m above sea level. On this natural terrace, a round timber structure was cleverly inserted into the terrain.

The view is overwhelming and the direct view of the legendary Martinsloch is captivating. If you want to take a closer look at the panorama, you will find the Tschinglenbuch at the Überschiebungsblick, which names the many peaks.
A fireplace and a beautiful wooden table invite you to linger. Back on the Tschinglen-Alp, the Tschinglen-Wirtschaft welcomes you for a cosy stop before returning to the valley via the gorge path or by cable car.
