Cheese Pass - Alp Dejen
A wonderful spot. Hidden behind the Dejenstock in the Klöntal. Calf strength is required here and there will be beads of sweat.
But the hike is worth it. The surroundings are unique. In the Klöntal, follow the road on the right at the lake for a little way, until the wooden signpost on the right points towards «Dejen». The hiking trail leads up, past Unterstafel and further, ever further, until the huts of Oberstafel behind the Dejenstock come into view. Made it! Here awaits the Käsepass stamp. The picnic from the backpack tastes all the better. And after the descent, the cool bath in the lake rewards you.
The most beautiful hikes to Alp Dejen:
• As described above via Glarus / Klöntal
• Circular hike via Längenegg is also possible / the bath in Klöntalersee should not be missed here either.
• The Käsepass-Alp Hinterschlatt is also located in the Klöntal area, but on the other side and after an overnight stay at the Hotel Rhodannenberg on the second day of hiking it is a nice destination.
