Cheese Pass - Alp Baumgarten (from Tierfed)
The Alp Baumgarten, today a modern, private large cattle alp, known for its unobstructed view towards Tödi and its history.
It was first mentioned in 1302 and has the highest continuous dry stone wall from the Middle Ages. Baumgarten is accessible via a very steep climb from the excursion restaurant Obbort near Linthal or from the Panten bridge/Tierfed. It is a remote alp – if it weren't for the Tierfed–Chalchtrittli cable car, which saves you some sweat drops.
