Cave Into the World Famous Thrust
If you climb through the cave under the Chärpfbrugg near Ober Stafel, you will discover a magnificent section of the world famous Glarus Thrust.
Just outside Ober Stafel, the Niederenbach has cut an underground river course into the grey Lochsiten limestone and washed out the dark grey shale of the Flysch. The result is a cave under the 50 m long Kärpf bridge - spectacular!
