Brüggler Klettergebiet

The rock quality is usually top and the here and there sporty hook spacing is typical for an alpine climbing area. There is nothing with peaceful sport climbing here, here it goes 100-200 meters in height. The hook material is mostly good. Despite many ascents, the rock is often still rough and grippy - but in places it is also slippery and some skill must be brought along. This climbing area is frequently visited and accordingly helmets are absolutely compulsory. On a nice summer weekend, you may have to queue to start a route. The surroundings are beautiful and natural, secluded and peaceful.

A visit is absolutely worth it. Routes The Brüggler is a multi-pitch area. You will find around 30 such tours in a moderate difficulty range. The wall height is up to 200 meters. Here you descend, not abseil.

Access: Drive from Näfels to the Matt car park in the Schwändital (Näfels) Matt. From there it is a little over an hour's walk to the clearly visible rock of the Brüggler.
