Braunwald-Oberblegisee-Weg

Steeped in legend, Oberblegisee counts among Switzerland's most beautiful mountain lakes. Wild mountain streams, secluded rest spots and magnificent alpine flora make the hike up to the lake a memorable experience – a thrilling excursion for families.

The hike starts at Grotzenbüel (accessible via the Httenberg-Grotzenbel gondola) and begins with a slightly descending path with a magnificent panorama to the Unterstafel of the Braunwald alp. A path that leads over meadows and through light forests ends in the Böbsächi valley. There you can enjoy hearty regional dishes in the cozy Bächibeizli restaurant. A beautiful mountain path then leads to the Oberblegisee.

Here it is time to pause and be enchanted by the breathtaking scenery. The echo from the impressive Glärnisch massif rings out loudly. From there, it goes past the Mittelstafel of the Oberblegialp downhill to the mountain station of the Brunnenbergbahn. The aerial cableway takes you to Luchsingen and from there you return by train to Linthal or descend directly towards home.
