Bischofalp

The beautifully situated Bischofalp in the middle of the Freiberg Kärpf, surrounded by the Elmer three-thousand-metre peaks with a view of the Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch, is worth a trip in summer and winter

Bischofalp is located in the Freiberg Kärpf, the oldest wildlife sanctuary in Europe, and offers an impressive view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona. The Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch are fascinating, as are the Elmer three-thousand-metre peaks.

In winter, you can reach Bischofalp directly via the piste or via the beautifully landscaped winter hiking trail starting on Ämpächli. In summer, the Obererbs - Ämpächli high-altitude trail invites you to a wonderful high-altitude hike.

Via Hengstboden with the homely Ghaltigen (Heuerhüttli) you go to Bischofalp, where the Berghotel Bischofalp awaits you with a large sun terrace, regional delicious cuisine, beautiful rooms and warm hospitality. Info: bischofalp.ch
