Berglistüber
Not far from the former Bergli restaurant (parking spaces available) you can already hear the roar of the wonderful waterfall, the Berglistüber.
A 5-minute walk through the forest will take you to this unique natural spectacle. A visit to this beautiful waterfall can be easily integrated into a Klausen Pass trip.
Alternatively, take the post bus from Linthal train station in the direction of the Klausen Pass.
The Fätschbach has impressively eaten a young bed into the limestone in order to plunge in three waterfalls from the Urnerboden at 1200 m into the valley floor of the Linth at 720m.
As early as 1897, the middle of these three falls, the "Berglistüber", was described as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Switzerland. A passage behind the "water curtain" provides information about thrust. The rock face consists of approx. 150 million years old winter limestone, the so-called Griesstock cover. The underlying slate rocks are the approximately 50 million year old flysch rock, which was deposited above the basement and has hardly been transported so far.
