Beizli Alp Nideren-Mettmen
Alp Nideren-Mettmen is located on the popular hiking trail to the Leglerhütte SAC. It is wonderfully embedded in the Freiberg Kärpf and in the Mettmen-Alp hiking area. At the Oberstafel you can stop at the alpine restaurant during the main alpine season.
Their own alpine cheese and especially the Nidel-Zeltli are popular on Mettmen. A small but fine offer delights at the Alpbeizli Nideren-Mettmen. Coffee and drinks are also on the small menu.
The Kies-Mettmen cable car takes you to the hiking area of the Mettmen-Alp and to the Freiberg Kärpf. The Oberstafel of Alp Nideren-Mettmen can be reached in a good hour's walk on the hiking trail to the Leglerhütte SAC. It is beautifully situated on a wide plain, surrounded by Kärpf and other ridges and peaks. Cows and cattle are summered here, and the fine Mettmen alpine cheese is intensively handmade.
The hike from Mettmen via the Wildmad to Elm also leads past the Oberstafel of Nideren-Mettmen. The geological phenomenon of the Kärpfbrücke can be discovered not far from the alpine hut.
The Alpbeizli is a wonderful place to linger, there are delicacies from z Alp including refreshments for thirsty hikers and nature lovers.
