The Alpine Taxi also allows non-alpinists to get a taste of the high mountains and spend the night in an SAC hut. For example, the drive from Tierfed (Linthal) to Hintersand, the starting point for three SAC huts: Fridolins, Planura and Claridenhütte, is spectacular.

The one-way journey takes about 30 minutes.
