Concerts at Landesplattenberg on June 6/7, 2026
Saturday, 6 June 2026, 4.15 p.m. – Concert by the accordion group ‘YES’
The accordion group YES – ‘young, emotional sound’ presents exciting compositions from pop, rock and film music. Under the musical direction of Sven Mindeci, the young amateur musicians bring new orchestral dimensions to their instruments. The special acoustics of the Landesplattenberg mountain enhance the effect of the modern arrangements and promise an impressive sound experience inside the mountain.
Sunday, 7 June 2026, 4.00 p.m. – Yodelling sounds inside the mountain
On Sunday, the Chinderjodelchörli Glarnerland children’s yodelling choir and the Chlytaler Örgeler organ group will perform in the auditorium. The Chinderjodelchörli – a cheerful group of children and young people between the ages of 5 and 15 from all over the canton – will delight the audience with traditional yodelling sounds and their obvious love of music. Together with the Chlytaler Örgeler, they will create a lively, authentic musical experience that perfectly captures the special atmosphere of the mountain’s interior.
Public tour before the concert, 13.30 p.m.
Before the concerts, visitors have the opportunity to take part in a public tour of the Landesplattenberg and gain fascinating insights into the history of slate mining.
Festival catering before and after the concert
Chrigel Menon and Andrea Marti are delighted to welcome guests with culinary delights. The festival catering will be open from 14.30 p.m. and after the concert from 17.00 p.m. and will offer drinks, delicious homemade cakes and grilled sausages.
Important information for visitors:
Visitors reach the mine entrance and auditorium by a short, 30-minute walk from the Landesplattenberg exhibition pavilion in Engi (approx. 130 metres of altitude). Good footwear and warm clothing are required. A shuttle service is offered for CHF 5.- per person and ride for those who cannot walk well. No reservation is required.

- Children CHF 16.-
No registration is required.

- Youths up to 16 years CHF 10.-
- Children up to 6 years free of charge
