Käsepass - Alp Baumgarten (ab Bergrestaurant Obbort, Linthal)
The Alp Baumgarten, today a modern, private large cattle farm, known for its unveiled Tödi view and its history.
It was first mentioned in 1302 and has the highest continuous dry stone wall from the Middle Ages. Baumgarten can be reached via a very steep ascent from the Obbort restaurant near Linthal or from the Pantenbrücke/Tierfed. It is a secluded alp – if it weren't for the Tierfed–Chalchtrittli passenger cable car (www.braunwald.ch/, Tierfed–Chalchtrittli cable car), which saves you a few drops of sweat. /
