Badestrände am Westufer des Walensees
There are various small and large bathing spots around Lake Walen. Here is a selection of them.
Lago Mio
The bathing beach Lago Mio is secluded from the action between the district of Fli and Betlis. Lago Mio attracts above all with its idyllic atmosphere, which is almost reminiscent of Caribbean conditions. For cozy picnics or barbecues, there are various fireplaces directly on the lake. A treat of a different kind, the Seebeizli Lago Mio offers a rich selection of culinary delights.
Old lido
The Alte Standbad is a small but fine beach with lots of nature all around. Here you can really switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet and the breathtaking view of Amden and all the way to Walenstadt. The old lido is located a bit away from the small town of Weesen at the northern end of Lake Walen. It is best to park at the old Weesen train station and walk along the left side of the Linth Canal.
Betlis
The Betlis beach is located south of the village of Weesen, at the foot of the steeply rising Leistchamm. Surrounded by meadows, forests and Lake Walen, you can wonderfully escape the stress of everyday life and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. For barbecues, a fireplace is available directly on the lakeshore.
Either you park at Lago Mio and hike along the lake to Betlis (very charming) or drive every half hour on the one-way street to the lido.
