Future of the Glarus Agenda secured
Schwanden, 11 December 2025 – VISIT Glarnerland. The future of the Glarus Agenda is secured: VISIT Glarnerland will take over the operation and funding of the Glarus Event Calendar and will continue to run it in collaboration with the provider Guidle. With this takeover, VISIT Glarnerland is strengthening the role of the Glarus Agenda as a central platform for events throughout the canton.
The calendar will be integrated into the digital infrastructure of VISIT Glarnerland by 16 December 2025 and will remain accessible to all event organisers via www.glarneragenda.ch. Entries from the cultural, sporting, tourism, social and economic sectors can continue to be recorded free of charge.
More visibility: one click, all events
From 2026, all events in Glarus will be visible at a glance, both on the www.glarnerland.ch website and in the Glarus Pass app, the new digital travel and leisure guide for the Glarus region. This means that both locals and visitors will benefit from a uniform, up-to-date overview of all events in the canton.
By linking to platforms such as Switzerland Tourism, the events will be visible throughout Switzerland, which will significantly increase the reach for event organisers.
Added value for event organisers
The main benefits for event organisers will remain the same. They will continue to benefit directly from the continuation of the Glarus Agenda and its integration into the digital infrastructure of VISIT Glarnerland:
- Free recording and publication of events
- No limit on the number of entries
- Existing login data will remain valid
- Distribution via multiple digital channels
Operation and financing by VISIT Glarnerland
By integrating the Glarus Agenda, VISIT Glarnerland is investing directly and specifically in the visibility of the cultural, sports and event landscape in the Glarus region. To ensure the long-term stability of the offer, VISIT Glarnerland is seeking additional partnerships with cultural organisations and private sponsors.
