Glarus Industrial Trail

The industrial trail leads through 200 years of industrial history in four stages. It can be explored on your own or as part of a guided tour.

In the valleys of Linth and Sernf, the industrial trail leads to around 80 objects over a length of 50 km. Time-honored factories and factory owners' villas are just as much a part of the route as residential buildings for workers, power plants, sewer systems or modern production facilities. At important starting points, information boards provide route suggestions and general information. As a bicycle and hiking trail, the Glarus Industrial Trail runs largely off the main roads and is well signposted. You can get the route map in bookshops and tourist information points.
